They say paths cross when they are meant to, and ours did in 2018—long before we even realized it. We met at the Central Bank, where we both worked, and what started with a simple ride home soon became a cherished friendship. That was when we discovered something incredible: Aurelio had been childhood best friends with Doris’ brother. Our lives had been intertwined long before we even knew it.

What began as friendship took an unexpected turn in 2020. Without searching for it, we found ourselves looking at each other differently and realizing that home was in one another. For a time, we kept our story private, sharing it only with those closest to us. It wasn't secret, but a treasure. But love, when it’s real, cannot remain unnoticed. Over time, it became clear to everyone around us that we were always meant to be, like puzzle pieces destined to fit together.

From the very beginning, some saw what we took longer to realize. Doña Doris, with her infinite wisdom and purest love, always knew that Aurelio would be part of her dear Amelia’s life forever. Until her last day, she dreamed of seeing us married, and we know that from heaven, she will be with us on this special day.

This moment is also for Elías, Aurelio’s brother, who left an unforgettable mark on every life he touched. Today, we celebrate with full hearts, knowing that those we love, even if they are no longer physically present, will always be with us.
